Description
The Toren is an elegant hotel alongside the beautiful Keizersgracht canal in two equally beautiful 17th century (1618) canal houses. The very stylish rooms have classic decorations such as chandeliers and ceiling paintings, but also boast modern facilities such as a flat-screen TV with digital entertainment system. In the morning you can enjoy a delightful breakfast buffet in the bar, which is transformed into a breakfast room with views of the Keizersgracht. The hotel has been popular for years and for good reasons.
Fancy a hot tub in your hotel room?
The hotel does not have a large restaurant, but they do serve small snacks that you can either enjoy in the bar or in your hotel room. For those who really like to be pampered or have something to celebrate, you can book one of the ‘top-rooms’ which offer a double hot tub in the room. The Garden Suites even have a small steam cabin.
The Toren is the partner hotel of Hotel Sebastian’s, which is nearby. Both hotels in Amsterdam are run by husband and wife Toren.
The Toren has a Green Key Gold certificate
The Toren Hotel has a Green Key Gold certification, which is great and promising. Because they were given a Green Key Gold certificate – meaning they apply to 27 mandatory sustainable criteria and at least 29 out of 55 optional criteria – we give them a 2-rating for environmental consciousness.
We are hesitant to give them a higher rating, as we have no specific information on their sustainability efforts yet, nor about their use of sustainable and organic products for their lunch.
