Description

The Anco Hotel is situated in the old town of Amsterdam, in a historic canal house dating back to 1640. The hotel has fourteen rooms in four different types, thus serving a variety of tastes and budgets. Anco Hotel was established in 1962, and for a long time was the longest running men-only gay hotel in Amsterdam.

Straight-friendly gay hotel

Some will find it a pity that the exclusivity of a men-only gay hotel is no longer the case, since straight people are now welcome to stay at the Anco Hotel. We think it is just a sign that there is less of a need for an exclusively gay hotel. It also means that the straight community can now enjoy the facilities and hospitality of this professionally run and friendly establishment. Even though the hotel is not exclusively gay anymore, the majority of guests still are. But no matter who you are, or how you identify yourself, the staff is friendly and good-humoured. The Anco Hotel offers studio’s with a mini kitchen, single rooms, double rooms and dorm rooms. The hotel has WiFi and computers and they serve breakfast and have a bar. Located in the Red Light district and close to the Warmoesstraat, this is an ideal location for those looking for some (nightly) fun.

Unfortunately we do not have any information (yet) regarding how sustainably the Anco Hotel is run.
