Sir Albert Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel with a very unique concept. In this beautiful hotel, near the famous Albert Cuyp Market, you are greeted by the incredibly welcoming staff, as if you enter the home of your dear friend Sir Albert. The 90 stylish guest rooms and suites are designed by BK Architects in sober, masculine colours, without it being ‘offensive’ to women. The hotel’s Asian restaurant & bar, IZAKAYA, already grew out to be one of the most popular restaurants in Amsterdam De Pijp district.
How a Sir becomes your friend
The concept of Sir Albert Hotel is set up around Sir Albert and his mansion that his guests come to visit. We have heard and seen great marketing concepts before, but at Sir Albert it doesn’t feel like a marketing concept anymore, it feels real. When you stay at Sir Albert, you stay at his mansion and have access to his personal staff, who do their utmost to make you feel at home. It is one thing to think of a concept like this, but it is another thing to get your staff on board and so far they manage very well to do so.
Sir Albert loves the good things in life and he is kind enough to share this with his guests as if it where his good friends. He loves to surround himself with beauty, which not only reflects in the interior and the art objects around the hotel, but also in his professional staff. The style of the hotel is stylish masculine, without it being too ‘macho’. It’s a gentlemen’s style that mixes an old English noble style with modern touches and modern comfort. Of course tastes differ, but I think they really created an interior and an atmosphere that both men and women will enjoy.
IZAKAYA is the hotel’s restaurant and bar and serves Asian – Japanese – food and already is a trendy hotspot in Amsterdam De Pijp.
A gentleman living the conscious lifestyle
Sir Albert has set up and published an extensive Manual for Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibilities. They also obtained the Green Globe certification. They train and instruct their employees on environmental and purchasing policies, (food) waste and energy management, proper recycling and the proper use of cleaning products.
Sir Albert Hotel likes to achieve that all products come from organic and/or fairtrade suppliers, including all food and beverages, bathroom products, linen, towels and textiles, paper, toilet paper, napkins, cleaning products, candles. This doesn’t say that they HAVE achieved it, but we give them the benefit of the doubt. Restaurant IZAKAYA offers vegetarian and vegan dishes.
