Unique products from creative Dutch designers
Thuyskamer is a beautiful, cosy shop, tucked away, just off one of the main shopping streets in Amsterdam (Nieuwendijk). The owner has curated a beautiful and appealing range of products from local designers, artists and jewellery studios. This is the sort of place that is a thrill to stumble across – the wonder of special, carefully made, creative products that will inspire you. Thuyskamer is the place for gifts from Amsterdam that are far more unique than your standard souvenier.
You can also have a lovely cup of warming coffee or tea, or refreshing “limonade” (cordial) whilst you peruse the wonderful wares. Thuyskamer also sells bottles of the delicious range of homemade cordial syrups that you can purchase to take home. Unique flavours like “lime, ginger and chili pepper” or “raspberry, lime, apple and lavender” are on offer. As the syrups are made from seasonal ingredients, the range of available flavours varies. A delicious gift for someone special or for yourself.

Original, handmade gifts and design, recycled, reused products
Some gifts, homewares, art and design products are made from recycled and reused materials at Thuyskamer. They support local designers who create original, handmade, bespoke products. They also stock a range of homemade limonade syrup that is sold in recycled and recyclable bottles. The owner has a passion for low impact production and even made some of the fixtures in the shop from recycled materials. They also sell second hand products.
Unfortunately we don’t have any information on how sustainably Thuyskamer is operated, or if they focus on green energy, or have products that are animal friendly. Consequently we give them a partial rating for the environment and human aspects.
